Neighborhood Profile
Sunnyside is one of the major "gateway" neighborhoods and as
such, it is very heavily trafficked with cars going to and from
Manhattan. Congestion and lack of parking are two perennial concerns.
Just like neighboring Woodside ,
Sunnyside used to be predominantly
Irish. Nowadays it houses a more diverse mix with many New Yorkers
of South American, Asian and Eastern European origin calling home.
