LPC Clears Way for Nouvel's MoMA Tower

Jean Nouvel's 75-story hotel-condo planned for 53 West 53rd street has been cleared by the Landmark Preservation Commission, The Real Deal has reported. The commission approved the transfer of development rights from two neighboring landmarked buildings.

According to Ateliers Jean Nouvel, the building would include a high-end 100-room hotel, 120 residences and a 15,000 m2 extension of the MoMA gallery space.
