Bronx Affordable Apartments Lottery

The Department of Housing Preservation & Development announces an affordable housing lottery for 53 apartments in a new development in the Bronx.

"Cross Bronx LP is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for 53 affordable housing rental apartments now under construction at 1457-1471 Ogden Avenue in the Highbridge section of The Bronx.

This building is being constructed through the 421a Affordable Housing Program of New York City's Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the New York City Housing Development Corporation.

Applicants will be required to meet income guidelines and additional selection criteria. Applications may be requested by mail from:

Please include a self-addressed envelopewith your request. Completed applications must be returned by regular mail only (no certified, registered, express or overnight mail will be accepted) to a post office box number that will be listed with the application, and must be postmarked by July 15, 2006. Applications postmarked after July 15, 2006 will be set aside for possible future con- sideration.

Applications will be selected by lottery; applicants or co-applicants who submit more than one application will be disqualified. Duplicated applications will not be accepted. Preference will be given to New York City residents. Current and eligible residents of Bronx Community Board 4 will receive preference for 50% of the units. Eligible applicants who are visually/hearing impaired will receive a 2% preference; eligible mobility impaired applicants will receive a 5% eligible City of New York Municipal Employees will receive a 5% preference."
