Building Description

Ansonia is a turn-of-the-century high-rise landmark doorman elevator condo building. The building's amenities include a garage. At one time one the largest residential buildings in the world, 18-floor Ansonia has a remarkably colorful history, of which we can only give a brief overview. Built at the turn of the 20th century as a hotel by a powerful and eccentric real estate tycoon, William Earle Dodge Stokes, the building has been, over the past 100-odd years, home to countless artists, entertainers, politicians, athletes and underworld figures.
