Kew Gardens

Location: Central Queens. Kew Gardens lies east of Forest Park, between Jackie Robinson Parkway and Myrtle Avenue. The neighborhood's eastern border is Maple Grove Cemetery.

Demographics: Kew Gardens is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York - its residents come from India, Iran and other Asian countries, Colombia, Peru, and a host of other Latin American countries, as well as Russia and the countries of the former Soviet Union (especially the Jewish population of the former Soviet Block), not to mention a sizeable African-American community.
