Since its formation in 1989, Costas Kondylis and Partners LLP has completed more than 45 major towers in metropolitan New York. The firms clients include New Yorks most established private developers and international corporations.
While the firm specializes in the production of complex large-scale residential towers - from initial feasibility and zoning studies to thorough construction documentation - current work includes a greater diversity of projects in education, hotel and mixed-use building types. In 1995, Kondylis Design was founded to offer integrated design services to architectural and private clients.
At every level, the firm strives to arrive at a clear understanding of the needs of the client and the functional operation of the building. Careful attention is paid to the surrounding urban fabric - to which buildings will ultimately be accountable - as well as the technical excellence of construction techniques and systems. This approach to design has enabled the firm to produce buildings of increasing innovation and sophistication and has earned the recognition of New York Times critic Herbert Muschamp for being pioneers of the next generation of tall buildings.
Mr. Kondylis started the firm to provide residential building developers with the comprehensive urban planning, architecture and interior design services needed to create projects that are both budget sensitive and of high architectural merit. He later added Kondylis Interiors as a division of Costas Kondylis and Partners LLP, to offer clients comprehensive interior design services for residential development projects as well as for exclusive, private residences.
