Last month's article in the Slatin Report
[tells the story] behind one of the most talked-about new buildings in the city, the late Philip
Johnson's
"[Urban Glass House]" (330 Spring Street).
Back in September, Curbed [reported] that construction had begun.
The project was mentioned in the New York Times, New York Post, ID Magazine, Time Out NY and a handful
of other, equally serious, publications.
All this talk finally (and weeks later) made us curious: just how much would the privilege
of living in this architectural masterpiece set you back? And how much space will you have inside
the said masteriece? Luckily, The Villager
had some [answers].
It looks like:
- There will be 40 apartments
- Their sizes will range from 1,400 sq ft (nice) to 4,300 sq ft (sweet).
- And the prices will be (drum roll, please)... from $1.6 M to $10 M.
Et voilĂ ! You now know what it takes to be part of architectural history.
