OUR COMMENTSThe only critical comment we have is about the building's
location. Technically, it's great. Tribeca is awesome, the
building is convenient for everybody who works downtown,
there are several great restaurants within a 5-minute walk,
and so on. But the thing that bothers us a bit is this enormous windowless structure
towering next to the building which, hilariously, is sometimes
airbrushed out of promotional photographs. It belongs to
Verizon or AT&T or whatever. Why does it bother us? For several reasons.
- First of all, it's kind of ugly. Definitely, northern your skyline views are ruined.
- Second of all, neighbors say it makes strange noises.
- Third of all, immediately after September the 11th (2001) the building was surrounded
by cement blocks with police vehicles standing there 24/7.
They must have been doing so for a good reason.
